Thanks to the Finnlines ferry ”Translubeca“, a small passenger service was made possible. In August, Kaliningrad was incor- porated into the ferry schedule of the TransRussiaExpress. The circulation took a week; the RoRo ferry ”Transrussia“ services this route. In February 1992, Finnlines Deutschland AG opened its first office at Ostuferhafen and also took over the booking agency for TransRussiaExpress. In December 2002: Sovcomflot relocated RoRo line service Vyborg-Kiel from Vyborg to St. Petersburg to the PLP PetroLesPort, and was named SCF St. Petersburg Line. Contractual partner was Vestway Shipping Line. MLO ceased its container service and its shipping company with the ”STK 1016“ between Kiel and Kaliningrad in December 2002. The TransRussiaExpress was relocated to Lübeck in January 2003. Sovcomflot was carry- ing out the service Kiel-St. Petersburg at the time. Until the second ship was ready to commence its service in December 2004, the departure frequency was decreased in June 2003 to once per week and this line did not call at Kaliningrad. In January 2003, TransMarine Line Ltd., as the current agent of MLO in Kaliningrad, picked up the previously ceased contai- ner service Kiel-Kaliningrad again. In May, TransMarine Line added stops to Kolding, Denmark to its route. In October 2004 Sovcomflot and DFDS LISCO AB agreed a joint route service by the name of SCF DFDS Line. In January 2006 this was renamed to NevaBridge due to restructuring within the DFDS group. The container line remained until April 2013. In Octo- ber 2008, DFDS became its sole operator, initially as DFDS Tor Line GmbH and since 2011 DFDS Seaways Baltic GmbH. In May 2011, ”Kaunas“ picked up the connection to Russia with the RoRo liner service to Ust-Luga. Ust-Luga’s port, extended by an extensive logistics zone, was erected in the West of St. Petersburg, in order to relieve the greater area of the metropolis regarding the volume of cargo. A comparable distance to the distribution centres in Moscow was responsible for the se- lection of Ust-Luga as a port facility. By now, traffic between the triangles Kiel – Ust-Luga – St. Petersburg has been established. Transport of freight has developed significantly on these rou- tes. Today, ships between Russia and Kiel carry a multitude of goods and forestproducts. „Narva” (Tallinn), TransRussiaExpress (St. Petersburg), „Kaunas” (Klaipėda), 2001 ”Narva“ (Tallinn), TransRussiaExpress (St. Petersburg), ”Kaunas“ (Klaipėda), 2001 FUNDAMENT
