Seit knapp einer Woche ist Jon Hanstad unterwegs und freut sich umso mehr auf die Überfahrt, da er nun schon fast wie- der zu Hause ist. „Von unserer Spedition fahren ca. 40 bis 50 Trucks auf der Route der Color Line. Das ist ein Privileg, um das wir Fahrer uns reißen. Ich gehe zweimal pro Woche quasi auf Mini-Kreuzfahrt, wenn das nichts ist. Der Service hier an Bord ist so gut, dass ich mich fast wie zu Hause fühle,“ sagt der 53-jährige Norweger. Ist die Zollkontrolle geschafft und der Lkw sicher verladen, nimmt sich der passionierte Trucker zunächst Zeit für einen Kaffee und die Zeitung. Wohl verdient bei 45 Stunden pro Woche hinter dem Steuer. „Dann gehe ich für eine Stunde in den Fitnessraum, dusche, esse etwas in einem der Restaurants, schlafe ein bisschen und trinke am Abend noch ein kleines Bier.“ Kein Wunder, dass der zweifache Vater trotz der langen Abwesenheiten von zu Hause seinen Job gern macht. Sven Christian Müller, Verkaufsrepräsentant bei Color Line Cargo, weiß Näheres über die Beliebtheit der Linie zu berichten. Nicht so sehr Seefahrtromantik oder Work-Life-Balance ihrer Trucker, sondern harte wirtschaftliche Faktoren: „Für Speditio- nen ist die 20 Stunden lange Überfahrt von immensem Vorteil, da das Fahrtzeitkonto der Trucker bei Ankunft im Zielhafen auf null steht. Sie können sofort „rauf auf den Bock“ und ihre Maxi- malzeit abfahren.“ Den viel geschundenen Truckern kann’s egal sein. Maximale Lenkzeit lässt sich nach maximaler Pausenzeit gut ertragen.
